Goals

The goals of Chain of Life Network^SM are to provide its Members:

1. Specific care, handling and marketing information for all floral crops including cut flowers, herbaceous perennials, cuttings, plugs, bedding plants, flowering potted plants, foliage plants and cut greens/foliage.
2. A summary of current postharvest research results from throughout the world.
3. Searchable databases including one that contains over 18,346 postharvest care, handling and marketing research citations.
4. Forums from which questions can be asked online or by requesting more personalized feedback.
5. Step by step processing procedures for cut flowers/foliage, potted crops and bedding plants.
6. Weekly updated NewsBriefs that contain the latest published and unpublished floral care, handling and marketing information; industry happenings; editorials; etc.
7. Links to postharvest care products, information sources and related services.
8. When appropriate and/or requested, to conduct independent tests of certain postharvest care products and report the findings only to Chain of Life Network^SM Members.
9. Postharvest care and handling seminars and/or workshops when arrangements for them can be established.
10. Information about cooperating associations and organizations that promote the Chain of Life Network^SM and its principles and goals.
